Aerielle Washington is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who primarily provides individual therapy for adults. Her clinical experience includes working with children, adolescents, and adults across a variety of settings. While her current practice focuses primarily on adults, she also enjoys working with children and adolescents and welcomes them when it's a good fit for their needs.
People come to therapy for all kinds of reasons – feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, trauma, or a major life transition. Others feel stuck and want to better understand themselves and how to move forward.
Aerielle believes therapy should be personalized, because no two people are exactly alike. She uses evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), while integrating trauma-informed care with a strengths-based perspective. Together with each client, she finds an approach that fits their unique goals, experiences, needs, and strengths.
One of the things Aerielle enjoys most about therapy is helping people connect the dots – understanding how thoughts, emotions, relationships, past experiences, and everyday stressors influence one another. Building on each client's strengths, she works to identify the patterns that may be keeping them stuck and develop practical tools that help them move forward with greater confidence and clarity.
