About Andrew

Andrew DeVellis is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with over 12 years of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals across the lifespan. They are trauma-certified and completed a postgraduate fellowship in psychoanalysis, bringing a depth-oriented, relational approach to their work. Andrew has broad experience in inpatient, residential, and outpatient settings, as well as supervisory and administrative roles.

Andrew is deeply committed to meeting people where they are in their healing journey and supporting autonomy, resilience, and meaningful recovery from mental health challenges. Their approach is grounded in empathy, curiosity, and a strong belief in each person’s capacity for growth. They are person-centered and well-versed in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, ARC, Motivational Interviewing, DBT skills, and facilitating community engagement. In 2018, Andrew received a $5,000 grant to create an Adventure-Based Therapy program for at-risk youth. They are also a published author with two articles in the Journal of Gerontological Social Work.

Andrew is currently pursuing a PhD in Social Work at Sacred Heart University. Their academic interests include trauma, attachment, autism, and personality disorders.
