About Christopher

Christopher “Chris” Emerson is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate with more than seven years of experience supporting individuals through a wide range of life challenges and transitions. He earned his master’s degree in counseling from Naropa University in 2017, where he developed a strong foundation in humanistic, person-centered therapy and a deep respect for everyone’s inherent wisdom and capacity for growth.

He brings a unique perspective to his work, informed not only by professional training but also by personal experience navigating the mental health system, allowing him to understand it from both the inside and the outside.

Chris works with adults of all backgrounds and identities, and he has particular experience supporting those navigating relationship concerns, spirituality and meaning-making, existential anxiety, grief, and major life transitions. He also offers informed support around psychedelic integration and “spiritual emergency,” helping clients make sense of intense or expanded experiences in a grounded, compassionate, and practical way.

Chris’s approach is collaborative, affirming, and tailored to each client. He prioritizes creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore what matters most, strengthen self-trust, and build resilience for overall well-being and healthier relationships.
