About Sheherazade

Sheherazade King, also known as Sher King (she/her), is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University. She previously studied Cultural Policy in England and Nonprofit Administration at Boston University. Her own cross-cultural background and focused study of intergenerational trauma equip her to support a diverse range of clients navigating complex histories and experiences of marginalization.

Sher is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and has worked with children and families both in person and via telehealth to foster resilience and healing. She uses an eclectic therapeutic approach, drawing on neurobiology and the mind-body connection to guide clients in co-regulation and emotional balance, emphasizing compassion and kindness throughout the process.
